There was a bear Named Cledus Van Bear, Who lived in Bear City, USA
Cledus, a Brown Bear Cub was Eight years Old at the time our story begins, and attends Honeycomb Elementary School for Bear
Cubs. He has many friends of which several are Brown Bears, Black bears and Ice Bears. His best friend is actually his cousin Tito, a
Black Bear who lives in a town called Lake Bearechobee. Cledus and Tito love to go out on the lake and fish together. They are often
mischievous and get into trouble, but that's what Bear Cubs do when they are eight.
Cledus' friends Snow Flake and Icicle are from the North Pole and have a really tough time keeping cool enough. Their home is an igloo
and really stands out in the neighborhood.
His Friend Barnabas (Barney) Wintercoat is half Brown and Half Ice Bear. He lives just two houses away. Barney is sort of Nerdy
looking with glasses and a Polo Shirt, but once you get past his nerdiness he's pretty cool, and is especially good at helping Cledus
prepare for exams and finish homework for school. Barney's Mom is always pushing him to be the best at everything in school and
sports, but he really wants to be a Musician when he grows up.
Cledus Has a Girl Cub Friend , her name is Mary MacBear and she a very Light Colored Golden Brown Bear with big eye lashes and
wears a pretty pink dress with a Bumble Bee on it. There is a trail behind the bee that loops around like he's flying and everyone loves
the dress. Cledus and Mary Have been seen holding paws on the way to school but when Cledus' friends ask if that's his Girl Cub
Friend he gets very shy and says " We Are Just Friends" like any typical eight year old.
Cledus' Mom And Dad are Old School in a Leave it to Beaver sort of way, but do let Cledus venture out on his own to learn even though
they want to be over protective.
